Legacy of Care, Courage & Compassion

The Interpretive panels located in the St. Boniface Heritage Garden were created to inform, educate, and pay tribute to the incredible work that has been done by the Catholic Sisters since 1844.  This project was very challenging when one considers the wide span of work and sectors in which forty nine Catholic Women Religious Orders have been involved in throughout Manitoba's History.  Four thematically based panels were created to demonstrate who these women of courage, care and compassion are, and how they had an impact in the fields of health, social services and education.  Below are photos of each of the panels that can be found in the St. Boniface Heritage Garden located at the intersection of Taché Avenue and de la Cathédrale in St. Boniface, directly across the street from the St. Boniface Cathedral and its historic cemetery.

We invite you to visit the site to enjoy this legacy piece in honor of the Sisters.
